I’ve got a lot of feelings…
…and stories…and I need someplace to put them. Do you mind if I start oversharing here? Trying to give my other emotional outlets a break 
. Weekly story time sounds nice (and on brand…).
I just wanted to say THANK YOU for all of your support. Launching HuggaBuddies has been soooo very exciting for us and we love that so many of you are along for the ride!
What has launching this new company been like?
I thought you’d never ask…
5 days before we launched, we found out our main pipe out from the house needed to be replaced.
It would cost 30K.
Overwhelming news.
We got a second bid. They said that it could just be cleaned out instead of replaced.
Hope!
2 days before we launched, we found out we were getting temporary full custody of my husbands two oldest boys.
Mixed emotions.
5 days after we launched, it was my birthday.
The kids woke up at 4 am to decorate my room.
They tried really hard not to fight…
On my birthday, the pipe finally got cleaned out. They told us it needed to be ‘flushed’ now.
2 days after my birthday…they came out to flush the pipes and blew 
all over our basement 
.
Then they walked their sewage covered shoes through my house.
Then, THEY were mad at US – first, because it happened, and second, because we wouldn’t let the poop shoes walk back through our house to clean it up.
I gagged.
It took 6 days for their insurance to get people out for cleanup.
And there you have it…if this looks like life and not business, it’s because life doesn’t pause, even for something as exciting as launching a business! 
It happens alongside it… and all.
BUT, I will say our favorite part of launching has been meeting so many of you at expos and farmer’s markets! If you don’t follow us on Instagram, START!
