Who’s in your corner?
Who you surround yourself with
…has a huge impact on your mood, the choices you make, your perspective…really, your whole life!
So pick your people carefully, because IT MATTERS.
Now, some of the people that we might be around frequently, we may not have much of a choice around.
Like your children…
you’re pretty stuck.
So, if they’re little Tasmanian devils…all I can say is…
I’m sorry.

And you probably did something wrong…
JUST KIDDING.
I put that in caps so that you know that I really am kidding.
Everyone’s kids are hard.
The point I’m really trying to get to is that HuggaBuddies wouldn’t be a thing if I didn’t have the right people in my corner.
I heard a quote today that said something like, “You’re crazy until you’re successful and then you are brilliant.”
We’re kind of in the “you’re crazy” phase but I wouldn’t be able to get to the “you’re brilliant” phase without people like:

My family. The family I’m talking about here is my parents and siblings. Did you know that my siblings gave up their entire inheritance so that we could start this company?….wait you didn’t know? I thought Mom and Dad told you…
- Let’s zoom in on that a little more to my mom! We have been creating together for 10+ years and have stuck it out in each other’s corners laughing all the way.

My husband. I can’t say enough good things about him. He put his construction company on hold to support our dreams and help us launch HuggaBuddies. He’s out there telling everyone how amazing I am and that they have to buy my books. 😂 He’s great to have around because he does all the things that I don’t want to!
- Friends. I have the greatest friends. Friends who read all my emails, like all my posts, rave to everyone about my products, show up on short notice for photoshoots, let me come borrow whatever I need, encourage me, share in my excitement, drop everything to bring us product when we’re going crazy at shows….the list goes on!

Kids. Our kids are so supportive and so excited about our business. They pray daily for our success, get excited about everything we create, want to come take over selling at all our shows, and only sometimes complain about how they don’t want to get too famous now that their mom and grandma’s books are in their school library. 💁🏻♀️
Whether you want to do something scary like start a small business, go back to school, homeschool your kids, run a marathon, or get the laundry done, you can with the right people in your corner.
Re-evaluate who you are surrounded by and what they add to your life and decide the amount of energy you want to give each of those relationships!
There’s room for all of us at the top so find the people who will help you succeed.
