When most people first discover HuggaBuddies, they usually hear us talk about bedtime.
And that makes sense.
Not only is bedtime something almost every parent can relate to, bedtime is one of the moments when comfort matters most.Â
Whether itâs winding down after a busy day, settling into a new routine, or simply snuggling up with something familiar, bedtime is often where children form their strongest attachments to the things they love.
But hereâs something many people donât know about HuggaBuddies:
We never set out to create a bedtime product.
We set out to create a companion.
As a family-run business, weâve watched kids grow up with (and adults that STILL have) special toys, blankets, and comfort items that somehow become part of the family story.
The stuffed animal that comes on every vacation.
The blanket that gets packed for every sleepover - would you believe me if I told you my 15-year old BOY asked me to show him how to fold up his blanket for a campout?! đ
The favorite toy that somehow ends up buckled into the car seat for every road trip.
The Buddie that gets carried downstairs for Saturday morning cartoons.
Those items arenât just for bedtime.
Theyâre there for the whole journey.
Thatâs why we built HuggaBuddies around a simple idea:
Play. Snuggle. Sleep. Repeat.
Because childhood doesnât happen in neat little categories.
Kids donât decide that a comfort companion is only for one part of the day.
They bring it into imaginative play.

They cuddle with it during movie nights.
They take it on family adventures.
They hold it close during moments when they need a little extra courage.
And yes, they often sleep with it too.
Some of our favorite photos from customers arenât bedtime photos at all.
Theyâre pictures from airports, backyards, camping trips, grandparentsâ houses, sports tournaments, and long car rides.
Theyâre snapshots of a child with their favorite companion by their side.
In many ways, thatâs the role comfort objects have always played.
Researchers sometimes refer to them as âtransitional objectsâ because they help children navigate new situations while carrying a sense of familiarity with them. Parents usually have a simpler name for them:
âThe thing my child refuses to leave home without.â
And that's exactly what we're going for.
Because it means the toy has become something more than a toy.
It has become part of their story.
Thatâs the role we hope our comfort companions can play.
Not just helping create a calmer bedtime routine, but becoming part of everyday moments that make childhood special.

Bedtime may be where many HuggaBuddies begin their journey.
But it's rarely where the story ends.
Play. Snuggle. Sleep. Repeat.
