Why Kids Need Comfort Companions Beyond Bedtime

When most people first discover HuggaBuddies, they usually hear us talk about bedtime.

And that makes sense.

Not only is bedtime something almost every parent can relate to, bedtime is one of the moments when comfort matters most. 

Whether it’s winding down after a busy day, settling into a new routine, or simply snuggling up with something familiar, bedtime is often where children form their strongest attachments to the things they love.

But here’s something many people don’t know about HuggaBuddies:

We never set out to create a bedtime product.

We set out to create a companion.

As a family-run business, we’ve watched kids grow up with (and adults that STILL have) special toys, blankets, and comfort items that somehow become part of the family story.

The stuffed animal that comes on every vacation.

The blanket that gets packed for every sleepover - would you believe me if I told you my 15-year old BOY asked me to show him how to fold up his blanket for a campout?! 😂

Those items aren’t just for bedtime.

“The thing my child refuses to leave home without.”

And that's exactly what we're going for.

Because it means the toy has become something more than a toy.
